Why not discover a Greek island untouched by mass tourism, and famed for its clear waters?

According to Pinterest travelers are seeking out off-the-beaten-path destinations with searches of “less-traveled islands” up 179 percent and “small town travel” up 276 percent.

Why Amorgos Island?

  • With its secret beaches, traditional architecture and a population of fewer than 2,000 people Amorgos is one of the most intriguing of all the Greek Islands

  • You can live out your Mamma Mia dreams in April when Pangea Dreams launch their first ever retreat in Greece.

Only 103 miles from Florida, Cuba has experienced a boom in tourism over the last few years despite travel restrictions imposed by the U.S. and last year’s devastating hurricanes.

The country receives more visitors from Canada than from any other country, more than 1 million Canadian tourists annually, and remains the number one destination for Canadians in the Caribbean.

Who else loves Cuba? Prince Charles could become the first member of the Royal Family to visit Cuba if plans for a historic overseas visit go ahead in 2019!

Some restrictions are still in place for U.S. travelers, but that doesn’t stop Americans from visiting the country. A new U.S. Department of the Treasury factsheet explains in full.

Why Cuba?

  • Havana, Cuba’s capital and one of its most magical, eclectic and vibrant cities celebrates its 500th birthday this year

  • During Madrid’s International Tourism Fair, FITUR 2018, Cuba received the honor of being declared “safest country”

The country only recently opened its doors to tourism in 2009 and a decade later its tourism infrastructure is very much on the rise. From amazing beaches and rainforests to a rich history, the country is affordable and still often uncrowded. Now is the best time to discover it.

Why Sri Lanka?

  • Few places have as many Unesco World Heritage Sites packed into such a small area – Sri Lanka has 8!

  • Kelly from @kellysites shares her experience of the Sri Lanka retreat in July 2018 here.

Move over South East Asian, Central Asia is a hot destination for 2019.

Developing tourism has become a major priority for Uzbekistan and a decision to simplify their visa process has created a boom in travelers sure to continue into the coming year. Known for its mosques, mausoleums and the ‘Silk Road’ – the ancient trade highway between China and the Mediterranean – Uzbekistan has a lot to offer.

Why Uzbekistan?

  • Uzbekistan was recently considered one of the 20 safest destinations in the world, as it has one of the lowest crimes rates in the world. It’s safe for female travelers and reports of crimes against tourists are reassuringly low.

  • The most tourist-friendly country in Central Asia.

There’s a reason why so many people travel from around the world to discover the magic and immense spiritual energy of this mysterious Incan land. Peru is a hotspot for nature lovers and history buffs and the famous Machu Picchu was chosen as the World’s Leading Tourist Attraction in the World Travel Awards with thousands visiting every day.

Why Peru?

  • Peru won three travel prizes at World Travel Awards 2018 including the ‘Best Culture’ award for the seventh year in a row!

  • Cross one of the 7 Wonders of the World off your bucket list in 2019. How about joining an incredible Retreat in a place so special that it’s named The Sacred Valley?
